Kamalinee Mukherjee was born in Calcutta on 04-03-1980. She is nick named Roshni. Her father was into business while her mother was a garment designer. She is a graduate in English Literature and has been part of a theater workshop in Mumbai.

Her acting debut was in Bollywood’s ‘Phir Milenge’. In Telugu ‘Anand’ was her first movie that bagged several awards. She won the Nandi for the Leading Actress as well as the best debutant. ‘Meenakshi’ was the next movie. Then ‘Style’ and ‘Godavari’ followed. ‘Godavari’ received positive reviews. Some other Telugu movies are ‘Police Police’, ‘Brahmanandam Drama Company’, ‘Gopi Gopika Godavari’, ‘Gamyam’ and ‘Jalsa’. The actress has also appeared in Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil films.

One of her poetries had made to the International Contest and she had participated in a seminar which was presided by Dalai Lama. She is also a skilled painter and spiritual works reader. Besides, she is also trained in Bharathanatyam and has been a part of modelling too.
