Amala is one of the Indian actresses who acted in many of the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam movies.She was born in West Bengal to an Irish Mother and Bengali Father. She has an elder brother who is married and a sister. She was educated in Kalakshetra, Madras in classical dance .She later loved a South Indian actor Nagarjuna and got married in 1992, after that she left her career and quit the film industry for ever. Very soon they had a boy baby Akhil who was born in 1994, acted as a baby in a Telugu movie Sisindri which was made on the lines of Hollywood flick 'Baby's Day Out’ and was also remade in Tamil as Chutti Kulandai. Akhil is completing his studies in Australia in a school that provides premium cricket training.
